Dating back to 200 B.C., the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins were one of the major Mayan settlements in the Costa Maya area of Mexico. For a very many years, the ruins of Chacchoben were known only to the local Mayan farmers, who named the site Chacchoben, which means "red corn". Today, the ruins are the # 1 attraction in Costa Maya.

Now, you can see these ancient ruins as a cruise shore excursion or during your stay in the Majahual and Costa Maya areas. Tour the ceremonial center of Chacchoben, including the temples and pyramids with our interesting certified guides as they share with you the enchanting mysteries of the ancient Maya.

NOTES: Video camera useage at the ruins site requires a $10 government-mandated fee. Tripods and professional video equipment is prohibited at the ruins, but personal hand-held cameras are permitted.

NO PORT, NO PAY POLICY: If for any reason your cruise ship doesn't stop in Costa Maya, or doesn't port the day it was supposed to, you will receive a full refund of your excursions. We understand that this happens, and we want to make sure there is never a risk to book an excursion with us.
