Chichen Itza is the largest and most impressive ruins site in the proximity of Playa del Carmen.  It is also probably the best deal of any tour in Playa del Carmen, at only $45.00 for a full 11 hour tour to see the famed ancient lost city of the Mayas. The Chichen Itza Explorer tour picks you up at your Playa del Carmen hotel and takes you in air-conditioned comfort to the ancient ruins site of Chichen Itza.  This is an on-your-own tour, with total freedom to explore and take photos at your leisure.  Guides are available on site.

The tour will leave the Chichen Itza site for Playa del Carmen about 4:30PM and will drop you off at your hotel afterward.  You'll get to learn about the astronomical mastery of the Mayas and see the fantastic and amazing architecture, including El Castillo, the most famous pyramid at the site.

YOU SPEND 4 HOURS AT THE SITE.  MORE THAN WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY IN CANCUN.

Cruise Passengers:  This tour is not compatible with most cruise schedules.  We suggest visiting Tulum or Coba instead.

We Recommend You Bring:

• Camera - This goes without saying.

• Suncreen - A must.  Temperatures at Chichen Itza top 90°F most days, and there is little shade.

• Hat - You'll want some type of hat to protect you from the sun.

• Pocket money - There are a variety of shops in Valladoid and in Chichen Itza - you may wish to buy something.
