This amazing tour begins with complementary pickup from your Riviera Maya hotel in air-conditioned comfort, before embarking on an epic journey to the lost city of the Mayas, Chichen Itza.  Once you arrive at the Mayan ruins site, you'll be treated to a buffet lunch at one of the finest hotels in Chichen Itza.

After lunch, you'll enjoy a fascinating look back into the ancient civilization of the Mayas, their incredible grasp of architecture and astronomy, and your expert guide will share with you the legends and the stories of the Mayan people.

You'll be amazed at the perfect synchronization and the insight of these legendary people, and gaze in awe at what must have been.  After the guided portion of the tour, you will have free time to wander the ruins site, taking photos, looking in the gift shop, or use your own guidebook to get an even deeper understanding of what you see.  We'll then visit a cenote, where you can cool off with a swim or take photographs.  The tour culminates with dropoff at your Riviera Maya hotel.

Includes:

  • Round trip air-conditioned transportation including all road tolls

  • 25 Minute Stop at a Mayan Village

  • Entrance fees to Chichen Itza

  • English-Speaking or Spanish Speaking tour guide (your choice)

  • Buffet Lunch at Hotel Chichen Itza

  • Guided tour of the ruins

  • Free time to explore

  • Visit to a Cenote (underwater grotto) for swimming or photos

Itinerary: Daily departures are approximately 7:45 AM from your hotel's main door.

Duration: Approximately 11 Hours.

We Recommend You Bring:

  • Guidebook - Your guide is very good, but when you have time on your own, you may wish to refresh your memory about the temples. You may also wish to read about the Mayan Ruins on the bus trip.

  • Camera - This goes without saying.

  • Hat - You'll want some type of hat to protect you from the sun.

  • Suncreen - A must.  Temperatures at Chichen Itza top 90°F most days, and there is little shade.

  • Pocket money - There are a variety of shops in and around Chichen Itza - you may wish to buy something.

To make a reservation:  Click "Book Now" at the top of the page.  You will receive a voucher via e-mail within 24 hours (in most cases) that you will print out and bring with you to the Riviera Maya.
