This is the ultimate way to see the Coba Mayan Ruins, and it can be done in only half a day if you should be short on time or have a schedule to keep, or you can spend a full day here and delve deep into the history and legend of the Mayan Empire that once occupied them.

After pickup from your hotel or pier, we'll go straight to the ruins site, where you can hire a private expert guide for about $60.00 for the whole group to show you this amazing site.  You can also rent bicycles or even take a ride in a rickshaw as you explore this vast area.

During the tour, you'll also visit a small Mayan family house, showing a little insight about how they live today.  Here you can try a classic homemade chicken taco.  The family also offers a few handmade souvenirs.  If you choose that option, you can also stop and swim in 2 different cenotes (underground freshwater caverns), 1 of which has 2 platforms to jump in from.

An excellent idea for a cruise shore excursion, this tour will pick you up on your schedule, and drop you off in plenty of time to make your ship.  If you want to customize the tour in any way, just write your request in the special instructions box when booking.  We're happy to accommodate.

Cruise Passengers:  If you are coming over on the ferry from Cozumel, we will pick you up at the ferry pier in Playa del Carmen.  If you are coming into Calica, we will pick you up at the pier.  We will return you there after the tour.  We are on your schedule - just  tell us when you need us to be there.

Schedule:  Daily on your schedule - you choose the start and end times.  We can accommodate any schedule.

Duration: From Playa del Carmen, you can see Coba in about 4 to 5 Hours.  However, you are welcome to take your time and spend as much time as you like at the ruins.  We are on your schedule.  Up to 10 hours are included in the price.

  • Extra cash for lunch, tips, souvenirs, guide, renting a bicycle or rickshaw if desired, and $3.00 per person video camera tax (only if using a video camera).

  • Swimsuit and towel if choosing the cenotes option.
