Xel-Ha tours are among the most in demand excursions in Playa del Carmen, and for good reason!  Xel Ha is a true ecological paradise, a natural lagoon filled with beautiful tropical fish making for excellent snorkeling.  The only way to visit Xel Ha is with an all-inclusive package, which means you get unlimited food and drinks all day long!  It also gives you lots of other goodies as well for a great day!

Xel Ha's tranquil lagoons are spring-fed, keeping the water clear and unpolluted year round.  The surrounding area is filled with lush tropical jungle, creating an amazing feeling.  You'll float on the lazy river, swing from rope swings, see caves and tropical birds, and more.  This is a trip we recommend for all visitors to Playa del Carmen, Xel Ha is one of everybody's favorite day trips.

The park is open from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM every day.

Our Recommendations:  To really experience Xel Ha, we recommend doing the All-Inclusive tour rather than the combo tour with Tulum - if you do the combo, you'll find yourself wishing you had more time at Xel Ha.  If doing the combo, we especially recommend to skip the dolphin swim, or you won't have hardly any time at Xel Ha.  However, if you'll be there for the whole day, especially on our private tour, then a dolphin swim is a great activity.  Make sure to book your dolphin swim well in advance, though, space is limited and they sell out well in advance.

IMPORTANT: Xel Ha will not allow you to bring your regular sunblock into the park, as part of the ongoing effort to protect the environment.  It will be confiscated at the gate unless it is biodegradable. See Biodegradable Sunscreen.
