Witness one of the 7 wonders of the world in a new and unique way - with the Chichen Itza Light & Sound Spectacular!  After complimentary pickup from your Riviera Maya hotel, you will journey to the most famous Mayan ruins site in the Yucatan - Chichen Itza.

After complimentary pick-up at your Riviera Maya hotel, we'll serve a light breakfast of sweet rolls, juice, milk, and soft drinks as we make our way to the Chichen Itza site.  As we arrive at the ruins, we'll step back in time and skip the lines with our own private entrance.

Chichen Itza Light & Sound

Chichen Itza El Castillo

We'll embark on a guided tour of the Chichen Itza Archaeological Zone, where your expert guide will explain to you the mysteries of the Mayan empire, and you'll gasp in amazement at the advanced nature of their society.  Keep your camera ready as we explore the many temples and pyramids, learning about the significance of each in the Mayan Empire, as well as the civilization itself.  After the tour, we'll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the famous Mayaland Hotel.

The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore on your own - you can come and go between the ruins site and the Mayaland hotel as you please.  You'll have full use of the Mayaland facilities the rest of the day, including the swimming pool, lounge chairs, restaurants, bar and more.  You can also explore the ruins site on your own and take photos or shop for souvenirs.  You'll get to see the ruins after the other tour buses have left for the day!  For dinner you can eat at the hotel, or you can walk or take a taxi to one of the nearby villages to eat.  There are also restaurants around the ruins site as well.

At approximately 7:00 PM, the lights come on for the Light & Sound show, a tale of the Mayan Empire told through light and narration - a unique look at this amazing city.  After the show, you can relax as we escort you back to your Riviera Maya hotel.
