CANCUN INTERACTIVE AQUARIUM

Conveniently located at Km 12.5 of the Cancun Hotel Zone, next door to La Isla Mall, the Cancun Interactive Aquarium is the only aquarium in Cancun. It is home to many fish tanks with exotic species of sea life, exhibits and interactive performances by its star attractions including dolphins, sea lions and sharks. There is a touching pool to feel the marine life such as octopus and starfish.

In the Cancun Interactive Aquarium you will see fascinating exhibits of marine life from the tidal pools to the deep ocean. You will get to see rarities such as Axolotls, rays, nurse sharks, echinoderms, alligator gar, spotted moray eels, and more Children can touch creatures of the sea in this fascinating addition to Cancun.  But of course the most popular attractions for kids and adults alike are the marine mammals - dolphins. You can actually swim in the water with these great creatures and interact with them in so many ways.  They are so silly and funny, and seem to really love to play with you.

HOW TO GET TO THE INTERACTIVE AQUARIUM:

Transportation is provided from your Cancun hotel with your dolphin swim activity for $10.00 USD extra per person. If you did want to go there on your own though, and weren't going to do the dolphin swimming, you can take the Hotel Zone bus for about 60 cents, or take a taxi from your hotel. The Aquarium is located in the heart of the hotel zone in the Isla Shopping Center, so it is really easy to fit into a day when you don't have all day to spend!

Entrance fees are $15.99 per person, but if you book one of the featured dolphins swims, sea lion swims or shark encounter, you get free entrance, so that is a nice touch. If you don't want to get wet though, you can still enjoy all the amazing creatures in the aquarium such as colorful fish, stingrays, jellyfish, clownfish, scorpion fish, lion fish, corals anemones, sea lions and of course dolphins and so much more. 

If you will be swimming with dolphins, your admission is free, but anyone accompanying you would still need to pay the entrance if they aren't swimming, so this is a nice way to book their admission in advance at a discount.
