On the northern tip of Cozumel is a fly fishing and bonefishing paradise made up of three lovely flats fishing lagoons, all teeming with hungry bonefish. These lagoons are quite shallow from 3'' to 18'', a fly or light tackle angler's dream come true. Each lagoon has the ideal flats fishing habitat and environment to attract bonefish, permit, tarpon, and other sport fish. Bonefish are plentiful twelve months a year. In season, you may also have a good chance at a Grand Slam and get a bonefish, a baby tarpon to 20# and maybe the elusive permit. During the months of March to September it is also possible to catch really large permit of 20 pounds or larger. You may also have shots at baby Snook in their season, barracuda, snapper, triggerfish and other sport fish of the flats. Never done fly fishing before? No problem, our expert fly fishing guides will show you the ropes. |
