XPLOR PARK RIVIERA MAYA

XPLOR is located in the Riviera Maya, about 1 hour from Cancun and about 10 minutes from Playa del Carmen, just north of Puerto Aventuras.  It is a massive adventure park with 14 zip lines, 6 miles of amphibious vehicle track, and a half-mile of underground rivers lined with stalactites.  Xplor is family-friendly, and one of the best rated tours and excursions in the Riviera Maya.

Xplor has a theme park atmosphere, with all the amenities (but also the crowds) that come with that kind of environment.  That means once you are inside, you are free to roam on your own, do all the activities you want, as many times as you want, until the park closes.   A typical circuit will take about 45 minutes and consist of riding zip lines, culminating in a splashdown into a cenote, where you will board a raft and float the underground river.  At the end of the river, they will serve you hot chocolate.  Then you will hop in an amphibious vehicle and drive to the next circuit down specially designed tracks.

Xplor is family-friendly and great for kids.  Ages 5 and up can participate and kids under 12 years old pay only half price.  It is conveniently located for most of the Riviera Maya hotels, but in particular those close to Playa del Carmen and Puerto Aventuras, which are within 5-10 minutes.

Xplor Park Hours: Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Kids:  Must be at least 5 years old to enter the park.  Kids 5-11 years get 50% off the regular admission price.
