In the shadow of Chichen Itza, the most magnificent and famous ancient Mayan city near Cancun, we will embark on an unforgettable Mayan experience and an exclusive tour of Mayan culture and history. This tour focuses not just on Chichen Itza, but on what it really means to be Maya.

Together with your expert tour guide, you will discover the secrets of Mayan spirituality, cuisine, numerology, archaeology, astronomy language and culture. You will participate in an authentic Mayan ceremony, then learn to prepare the most Mayan of all dishes - Pibil Chicken - and enjoy eating it afterward.

Biodegradable Sunscreen - A must. Temperatures at Chichen Itza top 90°F most days, and there is little shade.
Camera - This goes without saying.
Pocket money - There are a variety of shops in Chichen Itza - you may wish to buy something.
Guidebook - Your guide is very good, but when you have time on your own, you may wish to refresh your memory about the temples. You may also wish to read about the Mayan Ruins on the bus trip.
Hat - You'll want some type of hat to protect you from the sun.
Swimsuit and Towel - To swim in the Mayaland Hotel swimming pool.
