CHICHEN ITZA MAYAN RUINS TOUR

Chichen Itza is the largest and most impressive ruins site in the proximity of Playa del Carmen, about a 2.5 hour drive from downtown.  The Chichen Itza Plus option is a step above the more basic options, adding drinks on board, drinks with lunch and more. The tour picks you up in Playa del Carmen and takes you in air-conditioned comfort to the ancient ruins site of Chichen Itza.  Before heading to the ruins, we'll stop for a delicious Mexican buffet lunch, drinks included! After you've enjoyed lunch and drinks, we'll head to the capital of the Mayan world: Chichen Itza. Once we arrive, you'll be greeted by our friendly tour guides, who will explain about the ancient Mayas, and show you the fantastic architecture. Learn about the purpose of the temples at one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, and enjoy some free time to explore and take photos on your own!

After a day of walking under the Caribbean sun, we will take you to a refreshing Cenote where you can take a swim and some great photos! Cenotes are natural sinkholes resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes fresh water underneath.

To wrap it up, we'll stop at Valladolid, a beautiful colonial city founded in 1543 where you'll continue to learn about the ancient Mexican culture. A great way to end a day full of culture in Playa del Carmen!

Tour Schedule: Daily at 8:10 AM. Exact pick-up time may vary, depending on the location of your hotel, and will be specified in your confirmation.

Duration: 12 Hours Approximately. 

Departs: Round-Trip Transportation from your Playa del Carmen Hotel or meeting location.

Cozumel Guests: Meet at Plaza Antigua at 7:50 AM. You must take the earliest Xailing ferry to join this tour. The last ferry departs from Playa at 10:00 PM. While we make every effort to return on time, unforeseen delays may occur and would be at your own risk. If you prefer full control of your schedule, we recommend our Private Chichen Itza tour.
